Erotic Clowning is a workshop focusing on reconnecting with pleasure and lightness through erotic embodiment and humor.
It´s an invitation to empower ourself through exploring the sides that we exiled- the sides full of shamelessness and joy. It´s a place to reconnect with our desires without performance pressure but with the opportunity to be witnessed and share a good laugh about ourselves.
By tickling our creativity we dare to playfully explore in depth what moves us.
We will be twerking to reconnect and reclaim our bodies while clown work liberates our humour to embrace failure and give way to the power of laughter.
It´s a space for curiosity and exploration of your very own sensual erotic movement with playfulness and the love towards failure being the base.
Reflection rounds serve as containers to acknowledge narratives we carry while movement sessions serve the expression of the individual authentic body language.
It´s a space to put the bullshit believes that patriachy taught us about our bodies aside and find comfort in it as well as a supportive community.
***
Our bodies move in rigid clusters and habits on daily basis. To allow ourselves to melt into trust and into the body itself needs time- and to get into our erotic selves needs creativity. It‘s something we never really learned to do, since western society exiles those parts connected to the erotic…
a) as something you just know at some certain point in life without someone really opening up to you about it. So let’s talk about it!
and b) at some point you suddenly must be able to know it (eroticism) and perform it. And oh dare you- if you fail!!!! So let‘s fail!
And all of this is so much better when we realize: we are not alone in this. There are others who feel the same, who experienced similar things and are also on their way to something that makes them feel better and shine from with-in.

The workshop aims for building a compassionate community to support each other in our diversity and shared experiences, to build self-confidence & empower allyships but most of all to find joy and freedom within your body!
It´s long overdue to end the objectification and compromising of bodies and their pleasure.
How would my body move if it wouldn´t be sexualized all the time?
What to expect within the workshop?
This is an experiential space that supports trying out and exploring your own erotic body language, encouraging you in the process of self-acceptance and self-empowerment, strengthening your freedom of movement, expression and pleasure
- daily twerking classes - letting go of shame, stress and anger through hip movement and experience joy coming back to the body
- sensual movement exploration
becoming aware of your senses; exploring and expressing your own erotic body language - a communal sharing and exchanging container where we can be seen and witnessed in our process, ask questions and learn more about consent which is essential in this work
- reflection and integration circles
the biggest complaint most people have about workshops in general is, that they don´t give enough time to process the learned things. So we will take time to reflect and integrate but also just to be. - clown work: We will explore our playful and vulnerable parts. We´ll see how to encounter fear and engage with love towards our feelings. My personal definition of a clown is to be your most human human. And that means being visible with all you are in the present and being able to share that with others.
- a place to celebrate and empower all bodies and their diverse ways of expression
- a space for grieve, growth, laughter, play and failure as a quality to be loved in itself
The course time per day is around 6 hours with the tools above being almost daily practices.
Depending on the level of the group I´m adapting some exercises on spot and I´m happy to find ways how everbody can find their way into the practice. See more on that below under "Accessability" and in the individual Events.
Who is it for?
The workshop welcomes people identifying as women, female and genderqueers who want to explore their body language and encounter themselves and others with curiosity and openness. We come together to cultivate confidence and liberate our bodies from the bullshit that we are made to believe but also to look at our fears and celebrate each other.
This is for all movement levels, from beginner to professionals as this is not a dancing class but more personal movement exploration.
Accessability
Daily amount of course time is around 6 hours per day with time to enjoy the landscape, slowing down and process within. It´s an important part of the workshop to have time for information to come up and also settle down- to have time to exchange and recharge.
Regarding the physical accessability of the workshop space I´m working on finding Seminar places that are barrier-low! Let me know if you have suggestions :)
The food base is always regional & vegetarian. Other preferences/options are gladly taken into account- the Seminarhouse charges 5 Euro extra for it.
Payment
Signing up for the workshop you´ll be asked to pay for the accomodation + food fee so your spot is reserved. In case you cancel 1 month prior to the workshop, the accomodation fee unfortunately can not be refunded. But if you find another participant jumping in, a compensation is possible.
The workshop fee is seperate. I will make it transparent how much money such a workshop would usually cost and on behalf of knowing the price you can adjust the payment yourself.
Long story short:
At the last day of the workshop you decide how much you pay for the workshop.
Furthermore 7% of the overall payment will be donated to two different organizations:
1. Flying seagulls https://www.theflyingseagullproject.com/
2. Anti-racist workshop organization: africavenir.org & phoenix-ev.org
I acknowledge...
that the topic "eroticism" is connected to insecurities or even trauma for some people and I want to remind you, to take responsibility and care for yourself. I am not a therapist but practicing arts changed my life for the better. I also experience community as a place of growth and connection, while witnessing and being witnessed in our human needs and stories. Community for me means support, appreciation and joy about each others diversity and common grounds. In any case I recommend you whole-heartedly to seek help if you need any.
While researching and constructing Erotic Clowning from idea to becoming a practice I´m in correspondence with other professionals and I'm consulting different voices in performing arts, literature, therapy and science. Be it on Trauma, Gender, Racism or Pleasure.
The path lead me to feeling an interconnectivity while guiding me closer to myself but most of all to a big YES on the need of Erotic Clowning as a practice since the first second.
